North Okaloosa Fire District is a combination fire department. We have both paid (full-time, part-time, and relief) and volunteer positions.
Paid Full-time or Part-time Positions:

Paid Relief Positions:
We are currently looking for relief firefighters. A relief firefighter is someone that can fill in when another firefighter is sick or on vacation. A relief firefighter must be certified in the State of Florida as a Firefighter II. Additional certification as an Airport Rescue Firefighter (ARFF) is a plus. Please click here for advertisement. Volunteer Positions:
We are looking for volunteer firefighters to help man our four stations or possibly respond from home. If you are interested in serving your community, this is an excellent opportunity.
- If you are certified as a Firefighter I (FFI) in the State of Florida, then you may be able to start almost immediately.
- If you are not certified as a FFI in Florida, we can help you get trained to serve with us.
